The Godmother
Today for lunch I had a Godmother sandwich from Bay Cities. A Godmother is genoa salami, mortadella, coppacola, ham, prosciutto, provolone, mayo, mustard, onions, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, Italian dressing, on their bread which is amazing. The Godmother is one of my three favorite sandwiches (the other two are a French dip from Phillipe's, and a Pastrami from Langers). The lunch got a 9.3/10 rating.

Paella
Last night for dinner we had paella made by my dad. My dad spent a long time making this dish, and his effort will boost up the rating, The paella was excellent, and actually, for dinner tonight we had leftovers, and it was even better. We also had bread, olives, and cheese, and for dessert we had a British flaming putting (I don't remember the real name of it.) The thing with the pudding is that it is really cool when the liquor is poured on top and it begins flaming, but I am not that crazy about the taste. The dinner got a 9.2/10 rating.

More Eggnog
Today I tried a couple of more brands of eggnog. The first one was made by Organic Valley, and it was quite excellent, getting a 7/4/10 rating. It had a sharp taste, and had a great blend of spice and sweet. The second on I tried was made by Alta Dena. It was Alta Dena's honey sweetened eggnog, and it was the best eggnog I have ever tried. It had a butter like taste to it, and it felt like it was melting in my mouth, getting a 9/1o rating.

Thanksgiving
Tonight was Thanksgiving, and for dinner we had spit roasted turkey, brussel sprouts with bacon, mashed potatoes, stuffing, sweet potatoes, and gravy. Now, this may sound weird, but my least favorite part of Thanksgiving has always been the turkey. Now I am not saying that it is bad, but I am not big bird eater (I go for pork, beef, and fish). Nevertheless, the turkey was very good. Brussel sprouts transform from a mediocre dish, into one of my favorite foods in the world if bacon is addes in to them, and that is how they where prepared tonight, and of course, they where superb. The mashed potatoes where nothing special, just mashed potatoes. The stuffing was great, not a good as the brussel sprouts, but still very good. I did not eat any sweet potatoes because the table where my mom put the food was very dark, and only light by a candel, so i did not see them. The gravy made the meal from a very good dinner, into a excellent dinner. For dessert we had pumpkin pie, apple pie, and cranberry cake, all of which would have been very good if I had not been so full when I ate them. The dinner got a 8.99/10 rating, missing the "A" range by just a hair.

Trader Joes Egg Nog
You can tell it's almost Christmas season when stores start having egg nog. This Christmas season, I've decided to rate every type of egg nog we drink. The type my mom bought (although she hates egg nog) was from Trader Joe's, and let me tell you, it was horrible. It was very spicy, as in it had a lot if spices in it, and it tasted like horchata mixed with who knows what. It gets a 3.2/10 rating for nice colors on the carton.
